Description

Build specialized knowledge and expand your influence by earning a SHRM Specialty Credential. These credentials allow HR professionals to demonstrate targeted competence in several key areas while enhancing credibility among peers and employers. Earning a SHRM Specialty Credential is an investment in your continued career development and can be accomplished by engaging in content-specific, competency-based education and achieving a successful score on an online assessment.

Program Details:

  • Open ended questions
  • Current resume

Please print your application for your records before you submit it. Once you submit your application, the SHRM will not be able to return it to you, in whole or in part, for any reason.

Selection Criteria

  • 35% Describing the significance of obtaining a SHRM Specialty Credential
  • 30% Discussing the impact of earning the SHRM Specialty Credential
  • 35% Resiliency and ability to navigate difficult situations

Applications will be evaluated against the above eligibility criteria, and based on applicant responses to the open-ended questions provided in the application.  The best responses shall be selected by SHRM reviewers.  

Grant Distribution

All grant recipients will be provided the opportunity to obtain the Credential at no cost to them.  Recipients must satisfactorily complete the entire Credential package, including all learning components and the assessment in order to receive the Credential.  Click here for additional details on SHRM Specialty Credentials.  Access to the learning package and recipients use of the credential, if awarded, shall be subject to credential terms and conditions presented to all end users upon accessing the learning materials.

By participating in the Program, SHRM and its affiliates may use your name, application information, and/or photo for marketing, promotional, publicity, or sponsorship purposes without further compensation to you.  You understand that SHRM and its affiliates are under no obligation to use your name and/or photo.  Upon completion of the Specialty Credential, SHRM may ask you to provide feedback regarding your experience, or to provide a testimonial.  You agree to provide such feedback upon request.  

Please note, SHRM/SHRM Foundation does not reimburse for any fees incurred by applicants prior to awarding and without prior written acknowledgement.  SHRM/SHRM Foundation employees or board members and their immediate family are not eligible to apply for SHRM Foundation scholarships, grants, or awards.
